Diagnosis Week March 2010

What a week, I was working from our corporate office in Hailey Idaho this week when I received the diagnosis that I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast. My family was all hundreds of miles away, it's very hard to get this kind of news, and even harder when you don't have your family close at hand.

Let me say though that I can't imagine a better group of people to be with when I received the news then the people I was with. I work with an amazing group. The support, love, and caring that was shown by them was unbelievable. I want to thank Cleve and Carol, who were there when I got the call; Marsha, a breast cancer survivor for the support, information, and being there; Kathy, Shelley, Toni and Lynn for being like sisters to me; Tom for understanding and information, and being willing to send me home right then if that was what I wanted; Debbie, Alecia, Barbi, Jay and everyone else.... for their support and prayers.

Rick, my wonderful husband, made all of the calls and handled everything on the home front. It must have been hard on him for me to just dump that on him. I'm so blessed to have him as a husband.

My children and parents are figuring ways to make this easier on Rick and I, so that I can just concentrate on getting better. My extended family, particularly Sharon, Katie and David are giving us tons of information. The support of everyone has been ovewhelming. I didn't realize what a great support system I had. Thank you all so much. I know with all of your support and prayers things will be fine.

I see the surgeon on Tuesday March 30th first thing, after that we'll know more about what the next step towards getting rid of this is.

Please remember us in your prayers.

Jesus I trust in You!

Love and God Bless,

Linda
